Photography begins with people.
Good photographs are rarely about stiff posing or forced moments.
They’re about personality, atmosphere and the little things that make someone feel like themselves.
Half my job is noticing things other people walk past. The right location can say just as much as the person standing in front of it.
The people matters. The place does too.
I notice things for a living
Hi, I’m Ellie
I photograph people, but l’m just as interested in the atmosphere around them. The light, the setting, the conversations and the little details that help tell the story.
l’m drawn to colour, texture and the small details that give somewhere its character. A weathered wall, an old doorway, a favourite corner of a home or a view from a beautiful window.
Whether l’m photographing a founder, a business or a wedding, l’m always looking for the connection between a person and the place they’re in
My approach
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to be naturally confident in front of the camera.
My job is to make things feel easy, keep an eye on the details and take the awkwardness out of being photographed.
Most people leave wondering what they were worried about in the first place.
Beautiful places, interesting people and photographs with a bit of soul. If that sounds like your sort of thing, l’d love to hear from you.
